Bursary Fund

As a charitable respite home, we rely on community support to enable us to provide compassionate and specialised care to people with limited resources. There are two easy ways to donate: you can make a donation online through our secure payment page, or download the forms for offline donation. Memorial Giving

When someone close to us dies, it is natural to want to honour the memories of that special person. You can make a donation in memory of a loved one’s life, creating a meaningful tribute which continues to benefit others in the future. Gifts can also be made in honour of a person who has had a significant impact on your life or to celebrate a special occasion or anniversary. You can request that donations be made to Dechen Shying Spiritual Care Centre ‘in lieu’ of flowers. This request is often included in an obituary and coordinated with the Funeral Director. We will send a written acknowledgment to individuals whom you designate, notifying them of your thoughtful gesture. The amount of your gift will not be disclosed.

Memorial Garden

The Memorial Garden at Dechen Shying Spiritual Care Centre is a serene and sacred place that will be enjoyed by our visitors as a living remembrance for generations to come. Planting a new tree or installing a bench in the garden can help to heal the pain of loss, creating a special place for friends and family to visit, to remember and to reflect.

Sponsor a tree in the name of a loved one or special occasion €100
Sponsor a “mani” stone (a sacred prayer carved in stone) €500
Sponsor a bench to look out over the spectacular coastal view €1000

Legacy Giving

Legacy Giving offers an additional way to support the care offered at Dechen Shying Spiritual Care Centre. Creating a lasting and living legacy is an act of generosity that is a reflection of your life and also benefits others. Gifts can be made to Dechen Shying Spiritual Care Centre through a will, charitable trust, life insurance policy or retirement plan.
